The Story Behind Amy

The Story Behind Amy

Amy was far more than a friend to me.

For 23 years, she was one of the most important people in my life. Our friendship became something much deeper than the word “friend” could ever describe. She meant the world to me, and she always will.

Amy went through more challenges in her life than most people will ever know. Yet somehow, through all of it, she remained

one of the strongest people I have ever known.

What I remember most was her spirit.

Amy was always a happy person.

Green was her favorite color.

No matter what she was facing, she had a way of finding joy. And lived her life to the fullest! She cared deeply about other people and dedicated much of her life to serving others through an organization that meant a great deal to her. Helping people wasn't simply something she did. It was part of who she was.

But there was another source of happiness in Amy's life that was uniquely hers.

Stuffed Animals (that is what others would call them).

She called them “The Gang” — or sometimes “The Kids.”

Which I now take care of for her as Our Gang or Our Kids.

Amy loved them. She cared for them, talked about them, sent them on adventures like nobody else could. and found

genuine peace and happiness in having them around. I often told her to write a book about those adventure and that little

children would love hearing or reading about them.

Today, there are 59 of Gang Members. I believe I understand why they meant so much to her.

They never judged her.

They simply loved her.

And Amy loved them right back.

That simple, unconditional love was something very special to Amy. In a world that can sometimes be difficult and judgmental, the gang gave Amy a place where she could simply be Amy — surrounded by The Gang that asked nothing of her except to love them.

That is a part of Amy's story that will always stay with me.

So when I created my AI voice agent, I didn't want to give the agent a name simply because it sounded good.

I named the agent Amy.

Because I wanted a little piece of my friend to live on through something that helps people.

Amy was someone who listened.
Amy cared about people.
Amy believed in helping others.

Amy found joy even when life gave her reasons not to.
And Amy had a strength that I will never forget.

Today, every time someone talks with Amy, they are interacting with a technology that can answer questions,

help businesses connect with their visitors, and turn conversations into meaningful customer intelligence.

But to me, Amy represents something more.

She represents connection.

She represents listening.

She represents caring.

And Amy represents the memory of a woman whose strength, kindness, and happy spirit left an unforgettable mark

on my life deeply and all that got to know her. I and many of her friends still express their love for Amy on social media.

Amy and I shared 23 years together before she left me. We both were there for each

other in tough times when we had no one else to depend on.

I love and miss my O.

That friendship will never end.

And neither will her story.

This is Amy.
